Primary Objective:
HVAC maintenance and repair, including the operation and control of the Facility Automation System.

Major Areas of Accountability:
1. Maintains and repairs all assigned equipment in a professional and timely manner.

2. Operate and maintain the Facility Automation System to provide proper climate control, security and monitoring in the building.

3. Provide the necessary training and instructions to other qualified maintenance personnel on all aspects of the Facility Automation and HVAC System to enable them to be fully competent.

4. Recommends to supervisor, capital equipment and tool expenditures needed to provide desired level and quality of departmental services.

5. Keeps informed on new products, equipment, and improved maintenance procedures and methods.

6. Works and cooperates effectively with all company personnel to affect from and coordinate solutions to problems.

7. Assists supervisor in the following:
•Keeps accurate inventory control of parts and supplies needed for preventative and curative maintenance.
•Organizes maintenance areas and facilities to insure optimum use of materials and time.
•Provide adequate and complete information to mainframe to insure an optimum computerized preventative maintenance program.

8. May act as lead person in the absence of the supervisor.

9. Follows approved safety practices and recommends new ones when necessary.

10. Performs other duties as apparent or assigned.

 

 

Qualifications:
Must have eight years experience in HVAC Repair and Service; or two year vo-tech certificate and four years experience in HVAC Repair and Service.

Must understand and be able to operate the Facility Automation Computer System.

Must be able to work on own without supervision.

Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Must be able to climb stairs and ladders and work from heights up to 30 feet.

Ability to stand approximately 90% of the time.

Must have a Refrigerant Recovery and Recycling Certification.
