Sr Simulation Test Consultant (STEC)



Professional consulting in areas like structural testing and material testing, and the complex test rigs used to conduct these tests, technical advice and support for internal and external customers, supporting pre-sales, commissioning, acceptance testing, troubleshooting, and training of standard / complex / custom systems





  1. Provide technical direction for test optimization and simulation of standard and complex servo-hydraulic  and electro-mechanic test rigs
  2. Commissioning and acceptance testing of newly installed test rigs located predominantly throughout Europe.
  3. Provide consulting for customers, Sales and other departments
  4. Provide technical direction in the areas of:
    1. Testing methods
    2. Test rig setup and tuning
    3. Testing and analysing methods
    4. Fault analysis and correction
  5. Customer and internal user training for operating test rigs and software applications
  6. Assists in the development of software solutions and in the configuration of software applications to meet specific customer test needs.
  7. Assists in the continuous development of the processes, tools, and methods
  8. Supports in preparing consulting offers, and continuously increase MTS awareness of customer need and challenges
  9. Assist in seminars and exhibitions, giving presentations to an audience
  10. Monitors product modifications, changes, and all other information required to be always up to date      and optimally informed about the current technical status of the products
  11. Compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
  12. Travels to all European MTS customers and outside Europe incl MTS HQ:
    1. Costs and labour efficient travel planning
    2. Prepare travel expense accounting and trip reports




  1. Possible long term assignment at customer sites

  • Experience working with complex test rigs including commissioning, troubleshooting, and advanced control and compensation techniques. 
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Programming skills related to complex test rigs
  • Virtual modelling knowledge is desirable
  • Experience in international customer service, good business acumen is desirable
  • Willingness to travel >50%
  • Good communication skills both written and oral in English language
  • Presentation skills in front of a group of people
  • Knowledge of one additional Romantic language is desirable





  • Background and experience in Ground Vehicle Testing
  • mHIL experience related to Ground Vehicle industry testing is desired
  • Load data analysis, fatigue damage analysis knowledge is desired



  • Background and experience in Aerospace, Energy Industry testing or similar
  • Load data analysis, fatigue damage analysis knowledge is desired



  • Knowledge and experience in metallic, plastic, composite materials properties
  • Knowledge and experience in material testing and related technologies
