Primary Objective:

Manages and administers the entitlement and license management back office system, FlexNet Operations. Configures software product offerings, updates customer accounts, entitlements and manages software lifecycle activities (activation, returns, obsoletion).

Collaborates with Product Management, Software Engineering and Operations to enable software monetization workflows and drive a positive customer experience.


Major Areas of Accountability:

  1. Acts as the primary FlexNet Operations (FNO) administrator for end-user support.  Manages all issues to conclusion.
  2. Administers and provisions security roles for internal and external customers.
  3. Develops and administers external customer communications through email notifications and end user portal custom content.
  4. Configures and administers FNO system jobs/alerts, such as data extracts for expiring entitlements, device data and data imports.
  5. Configures software products, including download packages, features, bundles and related attributes.
  6. Reconciles incorrect entitlement data, user and account data and product data.
  7. Responsible for understanding the data structure and data content within FlexNet Operations for extraction, analysis, and compilation of this information into reports or dashboards as requested by management. 
  8. Manages and configures features for the end customer portal (enabling self-service items, enabling menus and functionality).
  9. Manages entitlement and license management processes for the following:
  1. Obsoleting devices.
  2. Returning licenses in cases where manual intervention is needed.
  3. Updating or inactivating data objects such as accounts, users, entitlements, and licenses.
  4. Performing manual license activations for offline scenarios.
  5. Manual entitlement management to create entitlements according to policy, updating and obsoleting entitlements.
  1. Interacts with Revenera support and resources for ongoing issue reporting and resolution.
  2. Responsible for FNO system documentation, knowledge articles, procedures and system issues.
  3. Responsible for identifying needed improvements to FNO processes or functionality and working with cross-functional teams to implement ongoing improvements which may involve interfacing with external vendors.
  4. Responsible for testing new or modified functionality in test environments.
  5. Project Management - Actively manage assigned projects to ensure implementation of project plans.  Define the scope and metrics for new projects.  Manage the workflow and communication among team members and report on project status serving as the primary contact person.   
  6. Manages data clean-up audits and procedures and handles mass updates of data as requested, including products, entitlements, accounts, contacts and software licenses.
  7. Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Administration or equivalent.
  • 2 years relevant experience of technical support and 1 year relevant experience of software application.
  • Works under direct supervision.
  • Basic problem-solving skills.
  • Daily end user support of cases and issues.
