Primary Objective:

Accountable for developing and leading the global logistics design and strategy, including distribution, transportation, and trade compliance.  Responsible for of all global third-party logistics providers (3PL) to drive best in class operational metrics. Understand business, regional and market differences, changes, and needs based on specific complexities.  Translate business needs and priorities into logistics strategies and programs that contribute to driving growth and customer service while reducing costs. Identify and implement best practices in all aspects of logistics.

Major Areas of Accountability:

1.    Manage the requirements and relationship with all global third-party logistics providers (3PL) to ensure that the annual objectives for cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness are achieved. 
2.    Establish global logistics strategy to support business objectives for product availability to customers worldwide while minimizing inventory investment. 
3.    Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements relative to country duties and tariffs for outbound and inbound shipment of products.
4.    Develop, implement, and manage processes for worldwide shipping of products (inbound and outbound) that meet all regulatory and legal requirements relative to duties, fees, and controls.  
5.    Develops and maintains processes that ensures global inventory control.
6.    Management (direct and indirect) of all Crating, Off-site Storage, Freight and Distribution related vendors include, but not limited to; Third Party Logistics Providers, Freight Auditing Services and Transportation Companies to ensure best overall cost of ownership and service provided. 
7.    Develop and implement global Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to drive continuous improvement programs.
8.    Leverage Information Technology resources to develop and implement best practice infrastructure to support logistics programs.  
9.    Responsible for the on-going management and development of assigned employees.  Determines staffing and skill requirements to meet departmental needs and implements plans to satisfy those requirements.
10.    Participate in development of annual plan including objectives, strategies, and tactical plans.
11.    Establishes annual operating budget and manages against that budget.
 

Qualifications:

•    Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10+ years of applicable work experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, Economics or Finance in a global manufacturing organization. 
•    Minimum of 5 years management Logistics and / or Global Distribution experience necessary.
•    Demonstrated communication and leadership skills and ability to interact professionally and cross-functionally with all levels within the organization and external customers.
•    Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
•    Ability to travel 25%, including internationally.
