We are offering a $1,000.00 Sign On Bonus to Quality Technician new hires



Primary Objective:
Quality technicians are responsible for conducting quality inspections and supporting quality processes such as nonconforming materials. As assigned, may be responsible for first article inspection and supplier concession to ensure that materials and products comply with quality standards. 


Major Areas of Accountability:

  • Perform quality inspections on incoming, in-process, or outbound materials based on established inspection standards and tools.  Record data and communicate inspection results to stakeholders.


  • Provide quality inspection support for First Articles, Supplier Concessions, customer orders, and containment of nonconforming materials. When appropriate, conduct investigations of non-conforming materials (NCM), work with stakeholders to reach agreement on usage decision, document usage decisions and coordinate related tasks to ensure timely disposition of NCM and minimize process down time.


  • Manage and maintain measuring equipment to be in calibration, good working order and availability.  Apply 5S to inspection work areas.


  • May participate in the Corrective Action Process as subject matter expert in inspection and containment of nonconforming materials. 


  • Support overall quality control strategy by assisting in the creation or revision of quality inspection plans, inspection methods, standards and guidelines and potentially nonconforming material procedures.


  • Continually seek opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the quality inspection process through regular monitoring of process metrics and analysis of data, including NCM process metrics (as appropriate).


  • Support culture of excellence and learning by adopting and sharing best practices.


Basic Qualifications:


  • Vo-Tech Certificate or Associate Degree, and minimum of 3 years applicable experience in related environment


  • High School Diploma and 7+ years applicable experience in a related environment


  • Excellent programming and operational skills and experience with Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) and Faro Arm; familiar with Calypso software
  • Proficient in working with various inspection tools such as hardness tester, micrometers, calipers, profilometers, surface plates, dial indicators, bore gauges, optical comparators, and depth micrometers
  • Proficient in Geomertric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
  • Experienced performing gauge R&R and tester-to-tester correlations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experienced with elements in SAP Quality Module and other related components, such as inspection lots, inspection plans, quality notifications, material information and status in inventory, purchasing
  • systems, and engineering change systems
  • Strong understanding of quality control and inspection process, Quality Management System (ISO9001)
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
